<p>Explosives are produced using a plasticizer of flash point greater than 110 degrees C to plasticize the oxidising agent (esp. amm. nitrate). PETN or TNT powder or plasticized nitrocellulose powder or granules may be added. The plasticizer may be organic acid derives., vegetable oils, natural or synthetic gums or resins acetyl butyl ricinoleates, acetyl tributyl citrates, azelates, pellargonates, benzoates, glycolates, phthalates, hexyl-phosphates, epoxide oils and/or naphthenic acid derivs. The plasticers allow partial dissolution of other explosive powders.</p> |
