<p>Machine for preparing animal skins for the furrier e.g. rabbit skins cuts away the useless portions (feet, head and tail), opens the skins and lays them flat. The cropping machine consists of a frame with two vertical sides, made of channel iron, which carry the cutting system; the latter consists of a circular blade with a single bevelled edge. A protective casing is provided so that the operation is protected from the blade, even when the latter is worn. a sharpener is built-in the machine and the blade can be sharpened when the machine is in operation. An endless rubber belt carriers the skins under the blade and rollers, and together with a ribbed flat plate, flatten the skins after they have been spread by wings attached to nose element, under the blade, where the useless parts are removed. The machine can be operated safely and the opening and the flattening of the skins are effected automatically.</p> |
