<p>The material in form of granules is supported in an airtight housing on a perforated base plate. The plate is firmly fixed to a chassis by a U-shaped element interlocking with a matching shaft and held in place by springs, the bed may then be vibrated vertically on separate support springs. Passage of gas from an aspirater through the bed fluidises the granules which under the vibrational effects ensures adequate surface contact and mixing.</p> |
