PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality toner by using a binder resin having in the gel permeation chromatogram of the tetrahydrofuran-soluble fraction the weight ratio of the component in the molecular weight range of <=10,000 to that of >=500,000 in a specified range and a glass transition point of the component of said smaller molecular weight range in a specified value or higher. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin is the aggregates of spheres or spherical particles having average particle diameter of 0.1-0.7mm and THF-insoluble fraction by <10wt.% (basing on the binder resin), and in the gel permeation chromatogram of the tetrahydrofuran-soluble fraction the weight W1 of the component in the molecular weight range of <=10,000 is 10-50wt.% and that W2 in the molecular weight range of >=500,000 is 5-30wt.%, a W2/W1 weight ratio is 0.05-2.0, a peak exist in the molecular weight range of <=10,000, and this component has a glass transition point of >=55 deg.C, thus permitting the toner superior in fixability and blocking resistance to be obtained. |
