<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording and reproducing device incorporating a function realizing means in which an automatic recording system for a long time can be constituted by measuring the remaining quantity of a tape in recording, and holding the connection of an input terminal and an output terminal when the above value goes less than a value set in advance. CONSTITUTION:The title device is provided with an automatic recording means which sets a recording start state after energizing or a de-energizing state after stoppage of recording based on the presence/absence of a video input signal, and a detection holding means 200 which holds the de-energizing state until the setting of the above stated automatic recording function corresponding to the remaining quantity of the tape and holds a state so that the video input signal can be outputted from the output terminal set in a no signal state until then. Therefore, energizing, recording, stoppage, and de-energizing are repeated at every input of the video input signal while a large quantity of tape remains by the operation of the automatic recording function, and when the remaining quantity of the tape is reduced, the video input signal is continued to be outputted from the output terminal, and also, the den-energizing state is maintained in spite of the presence/absence of the input signal. In such a way, it is possible to constitute the automatic recording system for a long time by preparing plural devices and only connecting each output terminal to the video input terminal of the next device.</p> |
