The system inspects and provides information pertaining to the tightness of the stator coil wedges of the generator. Information pertaining to the electrical integrity of the stator lamination insulation is also provided. Apparatus visually and remotely inspects the interior surfaces of the stator and rotor. A motor propelled carriage is adapted to travel along the slots defined by the stator of the generator for delivering each apparatus to the site of inspection. Each apparatus conducts an inspection at an inspection site.
