The device firstly washes the thread with a cleaning liq. and is then blown dry. The thread is then provided with a thin grease. The device is enclosed by a housing seated on the outside of the pipe via an inflatable and flexible sleeve. The housing also contains a mechanism which returns the liq. into a container. The sleeve fits inside the pipe and is sealed against losing the cleaning liq. The cleaning system has opening for spraying the cleaning liq., clean compressed air and grease. The openings are directed to the pipe ends, and a conical rotatable cleaner part treats the inside of the pipe.
