A ski comprising a core obtd. from a foam block is produced by (a) heating to 150-190 deg.C a piece cut in a hard, heat deformable block of foam contg. urethane and/or isocyanate gps. of density higher than 100 kg/m3, and having the dimensions of a ski of max. height, (b) compressing this piece in a cold mould or slightly heated mould into a double corner ski, (c) introducing into a ski mould a sliding sole of polyethylene, a prepreg, the core from (b) and a layer of metal or plastics lining and opt. other decorative layers, and compressing hot. The obtd. ski is also claimed.
