PURPOSE:To relax transmission of cracks of a dense layer by means of a porous layer and manufacture a ceramics product, light-weight and hard to crack by sintering and integrating a dense layer constituted of sinterable inorganic power of small average particle diameter, and a porous layer constituted of sinterable inorganic powder of larger average particle diameter in a state of being laminated alternately. CONSTITUTION:A multi-layer ceramics material, consisting of a dense layer 1 formed by sintering sinterable inorganic powder of small average particle diameter and a porous layer 2 formed by sintering sinterable inorganic powder of average particle diameter larger than that of the powder used for said dense layer, is sintered and integrated in the state of laminating said layers alternately. In order to accelerate sintering properts of said dense layer, a flux can be added to said multi-layer ceramics material. For instance, the quantity is 0.03-3wt.%. As the side view shows, a ceramics plate consisting of a dense layer 1 and a porous layer 2 laminated alternately by 10-20 layers is broken in a test of failure in bending, which is considered to indicate that the structure is strengthened by flexing cracks on the macro-level to relax the transmission of cracks in the dense layer 1 by means of the porous layer 2. |
