PURPOSE:To transmit the heat energy generated in a resistor layer to thermal paper efficiently and uniformly so as to reduce the difference between dots, by using the resistor layer and an abrasion resistance layer, both of which are specified in air bubble content, as a heat generator and an overcoat layer. CONSTITUTION:The ratio of the cross-sectional area of the gap parts of the arbitrary cross-sections of both of a heat generating resistor 1 and an abrasion resistance layer 2 with respect to the total cross-sectional area of both layers 1, 2 is set to 0.5 or less and air bubbles 7 are allowed to be present so as to be uniformly dispersed in individual resistor dots and between resistor dots. The diameter of each of air bubbles is smaller than 1/5 the distance between opposed electrodes or the thickness of the heat generating resistor. The baking of this thermal head is performed according to a gradual heating and gradual cooling baking pattern. |
