PURPOSE:To improve water resistance, hiding power and whiteness of a photographic base by forming a hardened layer consisting of a white pigment and an electron beam setting resin on a base, and forming further a hardened layer consisting of an ultraviolet setting resin and a photoreaction initiator thereon. CONSTITUTION:A hardened layer of an electron beam setting compsn. consisting of a white pigment and an electron beam setting resin on a part of a base body, and further a hardened layer of an ultraviolet setting compsn. consisting of an ultraviolet setting resin and a photoreaction initiator, thereon. Thus, a photographic base is produced. The hardening of the base is executed by setting the ultraviolet setting compsn. layer by the first irradiation with ultraviolet rays, then setting the electron beam setting compsn. layer by the irradiation with electron beam, or by reversing the order of the irradiation. Suitable electron beam setting resin and ultraviolet setting resin are polyester acrylate, polyester methacrylate, epoxy compds., etc. Suitable white pigment is TiO2, ZnO, CaCO3, etc., and preferred concn. thereof is 20-80wt.%. |
