PURPOSE:To continue laser beam processing even after a work is cut by detecting the gap between a nozzle part and the work surface and cutting the work while controlling the gap constant, then by clamping the gap control and processing the work when the gap exceeds a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:While an NC command is executed, the gap from the tip of nozzle 45 up to the work 46 is simultaneously measured by the detection data from a detector 43 and profile control is executed until the specified gap is obtd. The reflected light of laser light 44 decreases sharply at the point P1 at this time and the contact of the nozzle 45 with the work 46 or the like arises. The profile controls is, therefore, suspended and only the NC command is executed. |
