Swivel-tilt device for optical equipment having a housing (2). On its bottom (5) there is a vertical rotary bearing having an external fastening platform (7) which can be rotated relative to the housing. On its at least one end wall (8) there is a horizontal rotary bearing with an external, tiltable carrying angle (11). Arranged in the housing (2) are a first (6) and a second drive block (9), each having a worm drive with worm and worm-wheel, working in the self-locking region, on the one hand for swivelling the housing horizontally with respect to the fastening platform (7) about the vertical axis (AS), and on the other hand for a tilting movement, independent therefrom, of the carrying angle (11) with respect to the housing. In order to give the housing (2) a small constructional volume and to keep side-play within the worm-drives as small as possible, provision is made for the following: a) the drive blocks (6, 9) have a central transmission housing (31) in which the worm-wheel (32) with its driveshaft (30) is mounted, and the two transmission housings (31) are fastened on the housing (2) in such a way that, on the one hand, the drive shafts (30) are fed through the bottom (5) for connection with the fastening platform (7) and, on the other hand, are led through the end wall (8) for connection with the carrying angle (11). b) The worm is ... with its drive shaft so as to be movable in the direction radial to the worm-wheel in the respective ...
