PURPOSE:To perform the stable ignition timing control through detecting a knocking with certainty without an error in the detection as well as to make the efficient engine operation achievable, by intercepting a sensor output according to the output of an interception timing signal generator at the generating duration of a mechanical noise. CONSTITUTION:A comparator 6 compares the output voltage of an analogue gate 3 with the output voltage of a noise level detector 5 detecting the mechanical noise level of an engine except that in time of knocking, generates a knock detecting pulse, transmits this detecting pulse to an integrator 7, also generates the integrated voltage commensurate to the strength of knocking, outputs this voltage to a phase shifter 8, alters the phase of a reference ignition signal according to the output voltage of the integrator 7, then transmits the output to a switching circuit 11 and intermits the power feed of an ignition coil 12 by means of the output of the phase shifter 8. Likewise, the output of an intercepting timing signal generator 13 is transmitted to a gate timing controller 4 through which an interception timing signal is generated at that point that a mechanical noise being generated. |
