Method and device for mounting new soles and heels to worn shoes

New soles or heels have previously been mounted on worn shoes in such a manner that, by steps, first the old remaining sole or the old remaining heel is removed, sometimes by hand. Then an already pre-punched sole or heel, which is approximately one or two numbers bigger, is mounted on the thus prepared sole or heel surface. The projecting parts are adapted, by hand, flush to the old shoe in such a manner that they are either cut or milled off. The new method or the new device make possible working both in pairs and extensively automatically. The removal of a part of the surface of the old sole or the old heel is carried out in pairs by a removal device which is adjusted in advance and then works without further operation. The making of the new flush sole or of the new flush heel takes place by means of a scanning device on the pair of old shoes, coupled to a copying miller which mills the new sole or heel out of raw material. New soles or heels are thus mounted on worn shoes.
