<p>PURPOSE:To effect methane fermentation at high efficiencies, by taking-in nuclear carriers composed of cellulose particles, carrying anaerobic bacteria, into a high-water-absorbing resin, causing the resin to be cross-linked. CONSTITUTION:Cellulose particles, as nuclear carriers for anaerobic bacteria, are mixed into a water solution containing anaerobic bacteria. While agitating the solution, a high-water-absorbing resin, such as polyacrylic acid, etc., is added thereto, and also, at the same time, calcium chloride is added to be agitated therewith for immobilization of bacteria. In this manner, even the substrates having a low carbon/nitrogen ratio can effect methane fermentation at high efficiencies.</p> |
