The typewriter ink-ribbon cassette has a storage spool and a movable coiling one spring-loaded against a driven sprocket. The coiling core (8) for the ribbon (9) has a relieved portion (11) by which it is guided by a rail (3) along the cassette bottom. The core with relieved portion and guide disc (10) can be in one piece. The rail can be formed by two angle-strips leaving a guide slot between them. USE/ADVANTAGE - Typewriter ink-ribbon cassette needs no additional components apart from the spring to move the coiling spool.
