PURPOSE:To improve image quality by performing exposure or destaticizing and furthermore performing both exposure and destaticizing by means of irradiation light whose main component is wavelength light <=620[nm]. CONSTITUTION:An exposure process and/or a destaticizing process is performed by the irradiation light whose main component is the wavelength light <=620[nm]. When copying is started, a photosensitive body 16 is rotated in the direction of an arrow x and uniformly and positively electrified in response to the rotation by means of an electrification charger 24. Subsequently, exposure is performed. All the exposure light is short wavelength <=620[nm] so that the photosensitive body 16 completes exposure without fatigue. Thus, the increase of accumulated charges and the decrease of electrification ability caused by the repetition of copying can be prevented and excellent images without fogging and the lowering of concentration can be obtained. |
