PURPOSE:To prevent overheat effectively, by using a linear member exhibiting superconducting state at normal temperature to wind the member around the heat-generating section of an electrical component and causing the linear member to transit to normal conducting state when the electrical component overheats. CONSTITUTION:A linear member 2 exhibiting superconducting state at normal temperature is wound around an electrical part producing heat, i.e., a power transformer 1, and connected through a joint 4 with a lead wire 5. When the power transformer 1 is heated due to a fault, the superconducting member 2 transits to the normal conducting state and becomes highly resistive, thus limiting current flow and functioning as a temperature switch. When the cause of the overheat is removed, the linear member 2 is reset automatically to the superconducting state without requiring manual reset. By such arrangement, overheat of an entire electrical machine having complex shape can be prevented easily. |
