PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of malfunction by connecting an electrode of a battery to an armature formed on a camera body side at the time of mounting the battery to initialize a CPU and then sleeving respective parts. CONSTITUTION:A camera is controlled by a microcomputer and a backup circuit is connected between the battery part and the CPU. In case of initializing the camera, the initializing of an electric part is divided from that of a mechanism part, i.e. the CPU to be the electric part and a display LCD when it is included are initialized by bringing into contact the electrode of the battery with the armature formed on the camera body side at the time of mounting the battery and then sleeve, and after executing IRQ, the mechanism part is initialized. The battery is checked in the process of the mechanism initialization, and if a trouble such as the defective mounting of the battery is generated, a display or an alarm is executed by the already initialized display LCD or the like. Consequently, the generation of malfunction or a failure due to the incomplete initialization based upon a power supply can be completely prevented. |
