<p>PURPOSE:To effect an efficient removal of a water-insoluble malodorous gas originating from sludge, by using an ejector to ozonate the water-insoluble malodorous gas in a bleeding tank provided in the sludge treatment line of a centrifugal thin membrane dryer. CONSTITUTION:Sludge 1 introduced into a centrifugal thin membrane dryer 12 is dried by a steam 2 into a dry sludge 11. A vapor 3 produced during this drying is condensed to a liquid in a condenser 4 by using coolant 5 and this liquid is discharged into a bleeding tank 9 together with ozone 7 by an ejector 6 and a circulating pump 8, whereby a water-soluble malodorous gas is removed by the water, while a water-insoluble malodorous gas is removed by the ozone in the bleeding tank 9, particularly with the freedom from sludge malodor at the time of overflowing.</p> |
