Bactericidal and fungicidal wallpaper adhesive

The application describes methods and materials for avoiding growth of mould fungus in rooms. The solutions found in particular as aids for people allergic to mould fungus consist of fungicidal and bactericidal adhesives. These adhesives consist of natural products, such as e.g. gum arabic, which remain highly respiratory-active even after drying out. The fungicidal and bactericidal action is achieved by mixing the said materials with inorganic, basic and/or acidic substances and, if appropriate, additionally with environmentally tolerable disinfectants. The adhesives diffuse during the drying process as far as the surface of the applied wallpaper.
