PURPOSE:To satisfy an nBmB code rule with a simple constitution by sending the repeating of a block constituted by an arbitrary (m) number of bits as an AIS signal when at input signal to a repeater is turned off. CONSTITUTION:An input data signal 1 and an input clock signal are inputted to a transmitting part 10 and converted to five parallel signals 3 by a serial parallel converting circuit 11. The parallel signals 3 are converted to six parallel signals 4 from a 5B6B converting circuit 12, converted to a serial signal 5 by a parallel serial converting circuit 13 and sent to a transmission line 30. When the input is turned off, a control signal 9 is sent to the 5B6B converting circuit 12 and an AIS signal is sent to the transmission line 30. At this time, for example, the repeating signal of the block of 101001 is outputted as the AIS signal. Consequently, the noncoincidence becomes 0 and an external oscillator for the noncoincidence detection at a 5B side is image unnecessary. |
