PURPOSE:To obtain an efficiently balanced photographing result by finding out a factor to be continuously changed in accordance with the absolute value of a difference between the photometric values of the 1st sensor for photometrically detecting the center part of a photographing picture and the 2nd sensor for photometrically detecting a peripheral part surrounding the center part and weighting the photometric values of the 1st and 2nd sensors based on said factor to determine exposure. CONSTITUTION:Brightness data photometrically detected by many fine light receiving elements 20 in an area A are added and the added value is divided by the number of photodetecting elements 20 in the area A to calculate an average photometric value (a) in the area A. After calculating an average photometric value (b) in an area B similarly, the absolute value (k) of the difference between the values (a) and (b) is calculated, a factor S to be determined correlationally with the absolute value (k) is found out and exposure data P for controlling the quantity of exposure is calculated by equality P=a+S(b-a). Since a reference value for determining the quantity of exposure can be obtained by weighting the photometric values detected by the 1st and 2nd sensors by an arithmetic means CPU, the center part and peripheral part of the photographing picture can be efficiently reproduced. |
