PURPOSE:To enable the stable long-period storage of the above deodorant by using the extract extracted from substolonifera or the species closely analogous with the plant of Labiatae as an essential component so that the malodorous materials of a sulfur system are removed selectively by the simple method using the safe natural plant extract. CONSTITUTION:The species closely analogous with the substolonifera of the plant of labiatae besides the substolonifera are adequately usable. The closely analogous species include S. substolonifera, etc. The plant such as substolonifera in a dry state is used as it is or is ground. Water or lower aliphat. alcohol of 1-5C or lower aliphat. ester of up to 7C or lower aliphat. ester of up to 6C or further ketones are added to such material l at 3-10 times the amt. of the starting material and the mixture is subjected to extraction required times for 1-24 hours at <=100 deg.C. The mixture is then subjected to vacuum thickening to remove the solvent after filtering to obtain the extract. The extract is dissolved in 20-80% ethanol soln. to attain 0.01-10wt.%, more preferably 0.1-5wt.% and is preserved or utilized in approximately the neutral state, for example, at 7.2pH by adding a phosphoric acid buffer thereto. |
