PURPOSE:To obtain a stable high contrast image, and to reduce the generation of a black spot, even in case of developing the title material which a developer having a relatively low pH value by incorporating a specified compd. and a polymer having a specified repeating unit in the emulsion layer or the another hydrophilic colloidal layer contd. in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The compd. shown by formula I and the polymer having the repeating unit shown by formula II are incorporated in the emulsion layer or the another hydrophilic colloid layer. In the formula, Z<1> is a nonmetal atomic group necessary for forming a 5 or 6 membered heterocyclic ring, R<1> is an aliphatic group, X<1> is a group shown by formula III, Q is 4-12 membered nonaromatic hydrocarbon ring group, etc., A is a repeating unit composed of a copolymerizable ethylenic unsatd. group having an acidic group, B is a repeating unit composed of a cross-linkable monomer having at least two of copolymerizable ethylenic unsat. groups. Thus, the stable high contrast image is obtd. and the generation of the black spot is reduced, even in case of developing the sensitive material with the developer having the relatively low pH value. |
