<p>The present invention relates to packaging material which contains one or more ceramic powders. The powders are able to emit long wave infrared radiation. The packaging material takes the form of paper, film and the like, and may be used on its own or in combination with other known packaging materials. The advantage of packaging material according to the present invention is its ability to at least assist in icnreasing the shelf life of products packaged therewithin. Packaging material of the present invention may be used to contain and interact with gases forming a controlled atmosphere within the packaging.</p> |
