<p>Das Gerät besteht aus einem brettförmigen Schwimmkörper von einer quadratischen Grundform mit seitlichen Griffteilen, wo der Schwimmer anfaßt. Dazu gehört ein Kupplungsseil, dessen Enden jeweils an einem Griffteil befestigt sind und dessen Scheitel am Schleppseil eines Bootes angekuppelt wird. Wenn das Boot fährt, kann der Schwimmer durch eine Drehung oder Schwenkung des Schwimmkörpers wie ein Wasserskiläufer nach links oder rechts ausscheren, aber auch streckenweise tauchen. Dabei hat der Schwimmer durch eine Glasscheibe Einsicht in die Unterwasserwelt.
