PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption quantity of an introduced fluid and the soot quantity by providing a partition wall in the peripheral space of parts constituting a noncontact-type seal so that at least two chambers are partitioned in the peripheral direction of a shaft and a through hole is provided in the space of each chamber respectively. CONSTITUTION:A side chamber 7a of a discharge hole and an introduction hole side chamber 8a of an introduction hole are completely separated from each other by a partition wall 11a. As a result, the side chamber 7a and side chamber 8a can be made longer in the axial direction of a shaft 3 as compared with a conventional shaft seal device, and the diameter of a discharge hole 7 and an introduction hole 8, i.e., the cross section can be made larger, thereby the consumption quatity of an introduced fluid and the soot quantity can be reduced. |
