PURPOSE:To easily remove dirt adhering onto the surface of a mold by a method wherein the mold is rinsed with cleaning agent, the main component of which is methylene chloride and the auxiliary component of which is a solvent compatible with methylene chloride and having a boiling point higher than that of methylene chloride. CONSTITUTION:A mold, which is used for obtaining molded product by reaction injection molding metathetically polymerizable monomer in the presence of a metathetical polymerizing catalyst, is rinsed with mold cleaning agent, the main component of which is methylene chloride and the auxiliary component of which is solvent compatible with methylene chloride and having a boiling point higher than that of methylene chloride. The auxiliary component is at least one kind of compounds selected from the group consisting of toluene, propylene glycol, ethyl Cellosolve, 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoidinone, polyoxyethylene ethers, monoethanolamine, anisol and isoamyl alcohol. Under the state that a core side mold is placed facing upward, said cleaning agent is applied on its surface with a brush or spraying. After dirt separates while swelling by leaving for a while, the dirt is rubbed off with a brush. |
