PURPOSE:To obtain the portamento effect full of variety by calculating portamento data, which should be emitted as sounds at present, in accordance with the musical interval difference between the preceding depressed key and the current depressed key and modulating this data with frequency modulation data designated by an input means. CONSTITUTION:With respect to playing to which portamento is designated, a CPU 1 judges whether portamento should be applied or not based on the time difference between two continuously depressed keys. When it should be applied, stepwise shifting frequency data is calculated as portamento data in accordance with the musical interval difference between two keys and is transferred to a musical sound generating part 8. Prescribed musical sound data generated there is subjected to D/A conversion and is emitted as sounds from a speaker 11 through an amplifier 10. A program by which the CPU 1 controls the whole of this circuit is stored in a ROM 6, and a RAM 7 is constituted to include of all of various registers, flags, and counters for operation. |
