PURPOSE:To reduce fatigue associated with operation of a medical picture processor and, at the same time, to easily confirm picture to be transferred by moving a cursor mark on a displaying section after the mark is displayed and displaying the medical picture information corresponding to the retrieval information coincided with the cursor mark. CONSTITUTION:After medical picture information is displayed on a displaying section 3, an operator moves a cursor mark 10 so as to coincide with a directory 9 by using a mouse 4 and depresses a push button. Then a picture selecting means 15 finds the file name if medical picture information stored in a storing section 1 from the coordinate values of the cursor mark 10 and transmits the file name to a picture data loading means 11. When the operator depresses another push button, the means 11 reads out the medical picture information corresponding to the file name from the storing section 1 and writes the picture data in the storing area of a frame memory 6 through picture data compressing means 12, temporary picture storing means 13, and window converting and picture displaying means 14. The written picture data are displayed on the display section 3. Therefore, the fatigue associated with the operation of the device can be reduced and transferred pictures can be confirmed easily. |
