CATALYST FOR METHANOL REFORMING

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst suitable for methanol reforming type generation of electricity by pretreating tuff contg. mordenite with an aq. soln. of an alkali metal salt and by adding nickel and sodium. CONSTITUTION:Tuff contg. mordenite and/or clinoptilolite is pretreated by heating in an aq. soln. of an alkali metal salt contg. potassium or sodium ions to carry out ion exchange and the pretreated tuff is used as a catalyst carrier. This carrier is impregnated with nickel nitrate and an alkali metal salt to incorporate 2-20wt.% nickel and 3-20wt.% potassium. The resulting catalyst has >=350 deg.C optimum service temp. and is suitable for methanol reforming type generation of electricity.
