PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition for tire tread, improved in a coefficient of friction, by mixing a diene rubber with a specified tung oil, a triazine accelerator and a resin. CONSTITUTION:This rubber composition for tire tread comprises 100pts.wt. diene rubber, 5-20pts.wt. tung oil based on glycerides of eleostearic acid and oleic acid, 1-3pts.wt. triazine accelerator and 1-30pts.wt. resin. The triazine accelerator used means a derivative of a compound having a triazine ring. Diene rubbers include a styrene/butadiene synthetic rubber, a butadiene rubber, and isoprene rubber and a natural rubber. When the amount of the tung oil used is below 5pts.wt., the effect of improving roll workability is small, while when it exceeds 20pts.wt., the coefficient of friction is decreased, which is not practical. Examples of said resins include coumaron resin, rosin and phenol resin, and rosinous resin is mainly desirable. |
