PURPOSE: To efficiently sweep a marking granule left on the dielectric web of an electrostatic photographic copying device by arranging a magnetic substance on the surface of the web which should be cleaned, attracting it from the back surface by a magnet and bringing it into contact with the web. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic slender blade 18 is attachably and detachably fitted to a holder 20 at the upper part of the web 12 moved on the supporting roller 14 of the electrostatic photographic copying device. The rod 26 of the holder 20 is loosely engaged with a member 22 fixed to a supporting frame 24 through a slot 22a. Besides, the magnet 28 is arranged in a roller 14 on an opposite side to the surface of the web 12 which should be cleaned. Thus, the blade 18 is uniformly brought into contact with the surface of the web 12 which should be cleaned by the magnet 28. By the movement of the web 12, the marking granule left on the web 12 after a transfer is effectively eliminated.
