PURPOSE:To produce a cation exchange resin having high stability by slowly adding a suspension of ion exchange latex to a slurry of specified polymer gel and mixing the resulting slurry with a multifunctional epoxy compd. forming a fixed polymer layer. CONSTITUTION:Polymer gel having ammonium groups and hydroxyl, halogen or epoxy groups in accordance with an adopted reaction is dispersed in a small amt. of an org. solvent to prepare a slurry of the polymer gel. A suspension of ion exchange latex in an org. solvent is slowly added to the slurry, they are stirred and the resulting slurry is mixed with a multifunctional epoxy compd. forming a fixed polymer layer. After a reaction initiation catalyst is added, the mixture is brought into a reaction at a constant temp. for a prescribed time to produce a cation exchange resin used for high-speed liq. chromatography, etc. |
