PURPOSE:To obtain the above composition having good moldability, light weight and excellent effect to shield electromagnetic wave and suitable as a sheathing material for shielded wire for communication, by compounding a base material composed of a rubber or a thermoplastic resin with specific amount of carbon- coated titanium oxide-potassium oxide whisker, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) 100pts.wt. of a base material composed of a rubber (e.g., ethylenepropylene rubber) or a thermoplastic resin (e.g., polyethylene) with (B) 10-60pts.wt. (preferably 20-40pts.wt.) of a carbon-coated titanium oxide-potassium oxide whisker having a diameter of 0.1-1mum and an aspect ratio of 5-50 and (C) 5-60pts.wt. (preferably 10-30pts.wt.) of electrically conductive carbon black having an electric conductivity of <=10OMEGAm. |
