PURPOSE:To accomplish multicolor printing where color slurring does not occur only in one transfer process by laminating a photoconductive layer on a translucent conductive cylinder so that an image carrier is formed, uniformly electrifying the surface of the photoconductive layer by means of an electrifier while rotating said image carrier and light irradiating the photoconductive layer from the inside of the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer 3 in a part irradiated with laser light becomes conductive and charges on the surface are made to flow to a translucent conductive body 2, so that the electrostatic latent image of yellow image is formed on the surface of the image carrier. Yellow toner electrified in an opposite polarity by a developing device 7 is made to adhere to the electrostatic latent image to form an yellow toner image. Magenta and cyan toner images are superposed on the yellow toner image to form the image in the same way. The laser light projected to respective polygon mirrors is modulated by a corresponding image memory and controlled so as to synchronize with the time when the image passes the respective exposing points, so that the color slurring does not occur. Thus, the color slurring accompanied with transferring does not occur because the superposed toner image is transferred on a body to be printed once. |
