PURPOSE:To form a heat generating resistor layer with high accuracy and to improve the conduction of heat to thermal paper, by forming a heat conductive layer on the heat generating resistor layer through an insulating layer so as to allow the same to protrude. CONSTITUTION:A heat conductive layer 7 is formed to the upper surface of an insulating layer 5 and an abrasion resistance layer 6 is formed the upper surfaces of both of the heat conductive layer 7 and the insulating layer 5. The position of the heat conductive layer 7 is above the part opposed to an electrode layer 4, that is, above the heat generating part of a heat generating resistor layer 3. As the heat conductive layer 7, a metal or metal compound having high heat conductivity, for example, Al or oxide thereof is used. The heat conductive layer 7 can be also used as an abrasion resistance layer without using the abrasion resistance layer 6. As a result, since the heat generating part rises, the contact with thermal paper becomes well. The distance between the heat generating resistor layer 3 and the thermal paper becomes large to the extent corresponding to the heat conductive layer 7 but, since the heat conductive layer 7 has good heat conductivity, heat conductivity is enhanced. Since the heat generating resistor layer 3 requiring high accuracy is formed on a plane and does not rise, said layer can be formed highly accurately by photoetching. |
