PURPOSE:To easily and certainly detect the position of the ink having a desired color of an ink ribbon by a simple element, by providing a data showing the color of each ink of the ink ribbon at the position corresponding to said ink by a bar code. CONSTITUTION:A color ink ribbon 5 is moved in the direction shown by an arrow to pass in front of a reflection type photosensor 7. At this time, a signal is outputted from the reflection type photosensor 7 once in the case of Y, twice in the case of M and three times in the case of C by the bar code of the color ink ribbon 5. The reflection type photosensor 7 is constituted of a light emitting diode 7a and a phototransistor 7b, and the light from the light emitting diode 7a is reflected from the color ink ribbon 5 to bring the phototransistor 7b to a continuity state and a high level signal is outputted to an output terminal (s). When a bar code printed part is passed, the light from the light emitting diode 7a is not reflected and the phototransistor 7b is blocked and a low level signal is outputted to the output terminal (s). |
