PURPOSE:To space-save, to reduce a noise and to improve the driving efficiency of a vibration wave motor by associating an additional mass over the opposite face of a movable body to its friction driving face and the face perpendicular to the driving face. CONSTITUTION:A vibration preventive rubber 14 having a ring 14a including a predetermined radial width and a flange 14b extending radially from the outer peripheral edge of the ring 14a is associated over the upper face of the elastic part 13a of a movable body 13 and the outer side face thereof. Further, an additional mass 15 of the structure having a ringlike part 15a and a flange 15b extending axially from the outer peripheral edge of the part 15a is so associated that the rubber 14 is brought into close contact with the body 13. Thus, it can prevent the body 13 from spirally vibration, vibrating in its plane due to noise, suppress its output from decreasing, and space-save. |
