PURPOSE:To conduct complicated and manifold RAS control by providing plural systems of optical transmission modules and modulator/demodulator for transmission/reception signals and switching the connections between said systems themselves of with a terminal equipment or a host computer through the control of the terminal equipment or the host computer. CONSTITUTION:The modulator/demodulators 101, 102 are provided respectively for the optical transmission modules 91, 92, and each modulator/demodulator 10 demodulates a signal received by the corresponding module 9 and modulates a transmission signal then transmits it to the corresponding module 9. During this operation, the mutual connections between the inputs/outputs of these modulator/demodulators 10 or with a terminal equipment(or the host computer) 8 are manifoldly switched by an RAS switch circuit 11, and further RAS control including by-passing, or others is also conducted. That is, the RAS switch circuit 11 is controlled by a command set in an interface register 12 by the central processing unit 14 of the terminal equipment(or the host computer)8. |
