The method is for making a mixed structure with metal I-beams (2) used to support the tensioners. A concrete slab (4) is closely connected to the metal beams and supports the compression members. It is prestressed in its longitudinal dimension on which the metal beams are made with upper sides which support the concrete slab after the shuttering is added. The top surface (6) is coated in the zones which are in contact with the concrete slab by a layer of non-stick material. The concrete part is cast and left to harden and is prestressed in the desired direction. Anchoring bolts (11) or gudgeon pins (15) attach the concrete slab to the metal I-beams.
