发明名称 REFRACTORY MATERIAL FOR NOZZLE COMPRISING ALUMINA-CARBON
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the title refractory material for nozzle having high resistance to spalling and corrosion, etc., as well as superior durability by mixing a specified proportion by weight of carbon and silica with alumina having a regulated particle size distribution, and kneading the mixture, molding the kneaded product, then calcining the molded product. CONSTITUTION:(A) 5-45wt.% carbon (e.g., graphite), and (B) 0.5-40wt.% silica, are mixed with (C) residual wt.% alumina having a particle size distribution consisting of 30-60% fine alumina powder having <=45mum particle size. A refractory material for nozzle comprising alumina-carbon is produced by kneading the mixture, molding the kneaded product, then calcining the molded product. The carbon is dispersed uniformly in the mixture since a tendency for forming coarse particles is given to the alumina by restricting the proportion of fine particles in the alumina to a fixed amt. Carbon bonds are formed uniformly among alumina particles is a matrix. Moreover, generation of mullite due to a reaction with silica is retarded by the generation of coarse particles of alumina.
