PURPOSE:To provide a heat storage body which has high heat transfer performance and high heat storage density and prevents decrease of strength at a high temperature and the occurrence of corrosion, by a method wherein a heat storage material is dispersed in the void of a structure formed of carbon fiber. CONSTITUTION:A structure formed by carbon fiber is formed by cloth and felt, and a heat storage material. e.g., NiCl.6NH3, effecting absorption and discharge of heat accompanied by chemical reaction, and heat storage material, e.g., a monocomponent, multicomponent, containing, for example, LiF, and effecting absorption and discharge of heat accompanied by a phase change, is used as a heat accumulating material. The heat storage material is dispersed in the void of a structure, formed by carbon fiber, in a way that, when organic fiber is sintered and carbonized to produce carbon fiber, it is mixed with the heat storage material for sintering. The structure of the carbon fiber has a good processability, can be situated on the surface of, for example, a flat plate, and can be also located on the inner surface or the outer surface of a round pipe. |
