The box e.g. for three bottles side by side is formed from a single piece of precut and prescored cardbaord. The box has two large sides (A, A') and two smaller sides (B, B') with tabs(12) and slots (11) to form the basic box shape. A large continuous band (f1) extends from the large side A and the two smaller sides. This band has two prescored fold lines (5, 5') which extend from the corners (6, 6') at 45deg. to the edge of the box. When the band is folded in to form the base with the second flap (F2), the corner sections f2 and f2' fold inwards to reinforce the base. Slots (3, 3') are provided in the end flap along the line of the side corners (1, 1') to ease the folding of the base. The box top has a fold in flap (C4') with three holes T to support the bottle tops. ADVANTAGE - The base of the foldable cardboard box incorporates additional folds which support the central bottle more effectively to prevent breakage when subject to shocks.
