PURPOSE:To make it possible to facilitate the installation of a window without damaging a natural illumination area, by providing a U-shaped space with its upper part connected and its lower part open to a place between an indoor side and an outdoor side of a main body of an airconditioner, giving elasticity to a connection member, and fixing the joint so that it may slide. CONSTITUTION:An indoor/outdoor joint 4 installed to an indoor side unit 1 is located on the upper part of one piece-type airconditioner body 9. The opening width of an opening member 8 for installation where said one piece-type airconditioner 9 is installed as it may be formed in a U-shaped manner can be changed by taking in and out the joint into or from an outdoor side unit 5. Moreover, the opening width can be easily fixed by fitting a projected part 13 provided on the outdoor side unit 5 into a recessed part 12 provided on the indoor/outdoor joint 4. It is, therefore, possible to increase an opening area of a window to a great extent since it is acceptable to reduce only the height dimension of the indoor/outdoor joint in terms of a window's opening area. |
