The crampons are fixed to plates (2, 3, 4) which are fixed perpendicularly to a central plate (1). The plates are all made of supple light material. A space (6) is left between the intermediate (3) and back (4) plates, to make it more supple. The crampons are in the shape of hemi-spheres and are toothed. The shoe is held on the plates by the curved ends (7, 8, 9) of the central plate and the front and back plates (10, 11). Supple straps (12) are fixed to the front and back plates and are fixed round the shoe. USE - For fixing crampons on to a town shoe to give better adhesion on snow or ice.
