PURPOSE:To obtain a disposable type biosensor excellent in response and preservability, by providing an electrode system on an insulating substrate by the printing carbon paste and applying polishing and surface treatment to the surface of said electrode system before forming a hydrophylic polymer layer to the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:Conductive carbon paste is printed on a substrate 1 composed of polyethylene terephthalate in a strip form by screen printing and dried under heating to form an opposed electrode 2, a measuring electrode 3 and a reference electrode 4. Next, insulating paste based on polyester covering the electrode system is printed so as to leave the acting parts 2'-4' of the respective electrode and heat-treated to form an insulating layer 5. Subsequently, the exposed parts 2'-4' are heat-treated at 100 deg.C in air and an aqueous solution of carboxy methyl cellulose is developed on the electrodes to be dried. Next, a perforated holding frame 6 is bonded to the layer 5. Then, a solution prepared by dissolving glucose oxidaze in a phosphate buffer solution is developed so as to cover the electrodes 2'-4' and dried to hold enzyme. Next, a porous body 7 supporting an electron acceptor is held to the hole of the frame 6 and a resinous cover 8 is bonded to integrate the whole. |
