<p>PURPOSE:To wind a heat shrinkable label around a container its predetermined position without being impaired, by winding the label around a cylindrical mandrel into a sleeve, inserting the bottom of a thermoplastic container into a recess of the mandrel at the lower end, moving and fitting the label over the outer peripheral surface of the container and heat shrinking the same. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular label 1, when wound around a mandrel 3, is heat sealed at its end face by a heat sealer 5 into a sleeve-like configuration. During this time, a thermoplastic resin container 2 comes under a mandrel 3 by the rotation of a rotary table 11 and its bottom is inserted into the recess of the mandrel. The label 1 is moved downwardly by a ring-like remover 4 and fitted over the container 2, which is sent to a heating furnace where the label 1 is heat shrunk into close contact with the surface of the container 2, whereby the heat shrinkable label 1 can be wound around the container 2 accurately in its predetermined position without being impaired.</p> |
